January 2025 Update

Hello Special Friends,

Still Going Strong After All These Years….

Starting our 43rd Year as Missionaries. Serving as Missionaries Since January 1982!

We are always excited these first weeks of each New Year.

We got to see all our kids and most of our grandkids in the month of December and that was so wonderful.  Our grandkids are all so energetic and they tend to wear us out. But it’s always fun to see how excited about life they are.

Thank you for helping us so much. I know we say this all the time, but we so appreciate all you do for us with your giving to us and the ministry.

This month we are starting our 43rd year as missionaries.  We left America in January 1982 to begin serving overseas.  (Enjoy this Photo of us from Central America in the 80’s)

People ask us all the time, which country we loved living in the most, San Jose, Costa Rica; Moscow, Russia; or Budapest, Hungary?

Our response is always that we loved them all. Some a little more than others of course, but we always “chose” to love where we felt God led us to serve.

We still so love doing what we get to do in the Nations of Eastern Europe. This month Jim will once again be in Czech Republic, Serbia and Hungary.   He still loves these trips as he works with key Christian leaders in these countries to further the gospel.

This year, 2025 he will make multiple trips to all these countries. We are hoping it works out that I will get to go on one of them, possibly in April. That will be so nice.

Since 2001 we have seen over 300 churches started in the Nations of Eastern Europe!

It’s been absolutely amazing to be able to partner with Pastors from Poland in the north, to Bulgaria and Albania in the south of Eastern Europe to be able to see so many churches started.

How we partner with these pastors to start churches:

        *    We provide $4000 as seed money to help the church get off the ground.

        *    All the churches are pastored by nationals in their countries.

        *    Oversight, both short term and long term, is done by key pastoral leaders in each country.

         *   We try to target cities and towns with few if any evangelical churches in them.

         *   In Eastern Europe, the countries we work in, there are over 10 languages spoken.

So in 2025 we will invest at least $4000 in each of these SEVEN new churches. We are thrilled to tell you we have the funds for two of them already.

There is not revival in this part of the world yet. But we are planning for revival.

Most people would consider themselves agnostic or atheist. Albania where we have seen over 15 churches started, is a Muslim country.

A typical church in Europe is about 60 people. There are few large churches in Europe. But we are helping to start churches so that when people come to Christ there are places for them to attend and grow in the Lord.

Our goal is to make an impact on so many in this part of the world. Can you help us?

So once again, thank you for all you do for us.

We are expecting Great Things in 2025!

Brenda and Jim
