Dear Speical Friends,
Special Family News . . . It was wonderful to Celebrate my Mom’s (Jim’s) passing to heaven in May. She was 95 and had a very close relationship with Jesus. I am one of EIGHT children.
We were all, along with most of our children and their families, able to be in Colorado to celebrate my Mom’s amazing life.
Another thing that was wonderful to us was we got to see all our grand-kids together and three of our four children at the Celebration. (See photo) We are so blessed that even though we are not close geographically to them we are still very close, stay connected and see them often.
Special Ministry News . . . One of our favorite scriptures is found in Acts 17:6. “Those who are turning the world upside down have come here also,” It’s speaking of Paul and his friends bringing Christianity to the city of Thessalonica.
We love this story as it talks about just a small group of people and how they impacted a whole city and started a church there. We read about it as Paul writes later to this Church and recorded in the Book of Thessalonians.
We would never want to compare what we do to this story but in a small way we are working to help start churches in so many cities and towns in Eastern Europe. These churches are making a great impact in their communities.
We think of Arek and Angelika in Poland and Matjaz and Magdalena in Slovenia. Both these couples are starting churches this Spring/Summer. We are thrilled to be able to help them each with $4000 as seed money for them to get their new churches off the ground.
It looks like we will see at least NINE churches started this year in Eastern Europe. Prayerfully consider helping us do this with a special gift.
